Meet Sly Toussaint
Your uniqueness is your superpower. Sly Toussaint is a Haitian culture educator, entrepreneur, and creative based in Montreal. She is known for helping people connect with Haitian culture through dance, language, and personal growth programs.
From 2001 to 2008, Sly lived in the heart of Port-au-Prince, Haiti. During those years, she deepened her understanding of Haitian culture, community, and identity. Later, after a difficult personal experience, she returned to Montreal and focused on rebuilding through education, creativity, and personal growth.
Passion for Teaching and Culture
Teaching has always been an important part of Sly’s journey. She began teaching dance in 2002 and later started teaching Haitian Creole in 2017.
Through her classes and programs, she encourages people to embrace culture, confidence, and self-expression. In addition, she creates spaces where people can grow personally while learning more about Haitian history and traditions.
Her work combines education, creativity, and empowerment.
Education and Professional Background
Sly earned a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from HEC Montréal. Her studies focused on Marketing and Management.
Alongside her academic background, she has participated in major cultural festivals across Montreal. These events include Montreal International Jazz Festival, Nuits d’Afrique, and Haïti en Folie.
These experiences helped strengthen her connection to the Haitian cultural community in Montreal.
Living Fully Through Culture and Growth
Today, Sly continues to inspire others through cultural education, entrepreneurship, and creative projects. Her personal mantra is simple: “Live Fully.”
Through dance, language, and storytelling, she encourages others to celebrate their identity, embrace growth, and connect more deeply with Haitian culture.
